Most locals will never have access to a boat to experience their hometown from the sea. Part of our foundation's mission is to empower and educate our community which is why we hosted this fieldtrip with young students from Que Vaina Bacana, Tiempo de Juego Foundation. We taught the children about sailing, renewable energy, and gave them a tour of the boat. This was a rewarding opportunity to provide them a unique experience of seeing their hometown from an alternative and naturally beautiful perspective. For example students got to experience a highlight of the city, Morro de Santa Marta, a lighthouse built on a rocky archipelago up close. They're able to see pelicans and albatross flying to the island, the powerful waves crashing along its shores, and feel the currents, wind, and sun surrounding them. We hope to shape these student's lives and give them an exciting and fun day to remember.
